Your phone's motion sensors spot when you start driving, and Motora saves the route, distance, time and speeds until you park. Drives started before Motora woke up begin from where you were parked.
Each drive goes on your map, with your top speed, average speed and the roads you took.
What each drive cost
Motora works out the fuel each drive used from how you actually drove it (speed, stops and climbs) and your car's exact engine, weight and power. It prices that with pump prices near where you drove, from government open data in many countries, so the cost matches what you paid.
Log fill-ups to see your real economy against the official figure.

Trends, records and roads
Driving trends show how your distance, speed, score and fuel spend change week by week. Motora tells you when you set a new record, keep a streak going or explore new roads, and sends a recap of your week.
Every new road you drive counts towards your level, with leaderboards for you and your friends.
On your home screen and in the car
Widgets show your car, your last drive's cost and route, your week's score and your car's stats over 7 or 30 days. With CarPlay, see the drive you're on, your cars and directions to friends.
Questions
Do I have to start each drive?
No. Motora records drives on its own once location is set to “Always” and, on iPhone, Motion & Fitness is on.
How does Motora work out fuel cost?
It models the fuel your exact car used on that drive, from its engine, weight, power and how you drove, then prices it with local pump prices. Fill-ups you log refine it.
Does it drain my battery?
Motora uses GPS only while you’re driving and lets the phone rest the rest of the time.
Can I see my driving trends for free?
Driving trends, fuel insights and the car diary come with Motora Club, Motora’s subscription. Recording drives and costing them is free.
